A family, a Main Street, a promise
In 1979, Ali and Dora Raanaei opened Wedding Lace on Main Street in Alice. What began as a small formalwear shop grew, over nearly fifty years, into a cornerstone of the community — the place South Texas families return to, generation after generation, for the moments that matter most.
Ali built the shop on something simple: make everyone who walks in feel welcome, and treat every celebration like it's your own. That's still how it runs today — now in the hands of his daughter Renee and her husband Omar, with Dora still part of the shop she helped build.
We carry designers like Sherri Hill, Mori Lee, and Jovani, rent tuxedos for the whole party, and handle alterations in-house. But what keeps people coming back is simpler than any label: unhurried appointments, honest advice, and staff who treat your day like it's their own.
